QBE has named Aiden Quinn (pictured) as head of commercial underwriting, trade credit for its European operations. He joins from the insurer’s Australian division where he was head of commercial underwriting. He has responsibility for servicing, renewing and growing the existing portfolio.

Trevor Williams, head of trade credit and surety at QBE Europe, said: “We are pleased to welcome Aidan to London to lead the commercial underwriting for our trade credit team. His appointment will help to ensure our customers continue to receive a best-in-class service.”

In addition, QBE has Catalina Romero has joined the risk team as a senior risk underwriter and Iain Bird has been appointed head of surety.
