MAPFRE has reported premium income of approximately £7.3bn for the first quarter of 2025, up by 8.1% on the same period the previous year. Non-life premium income was £5.8bn, up by 9.8%. The insurer said its general property and casualty combined ratio deteriorated by 0.7 percentage points to 84.2%, while its motor business saw an improvement of six percentage points and posted a combined ratio of 99.3%. The carrier achieved a profit of £236m for the quarter.
