Coversure Nottingham has opened its doors for business and will cater for local firms under the leadership of Scott Miles. In addition, Miles has launched Platform Insurance Training Services to help plug the industry skills gap and offer learning and mentoring opportunities to those seeking to develop their professional abilities.

Miles said Coversure Nottingham would have a focus on the motor trade sector as well as providing for residential and commercial landlords.

He said work was ongoing with insurers in relation to a motorhome proposition and that plans would be announced once finalised.

In relation to Platform Insurance Training Services, Miles said: “It is not designed as an alternative to e-learning or examinations, far from it, it is a complimentary way of giving people the confidence and a platform to do well in their careers, through training, and support if required… The courses are available to paying individuals, brokers and insurers, who want a fresh approach.”
