Managing general agent Alps has overhauled its breakdown product, Alps Road Rescue. It is underwritten by AmTrust Specialty Ltd and delivered by vehicle assistance provider Call Assist Ltd. The product offers four levels of cover: roadside assistance and local recovery; nationwide recovery; nationwide and home or base assist and European cover.

Alps said the product enhancements included key cover of up to £50 per claim, battery assistance for EVs and misfuel assistance of up to £1,500, which includes engine damage. There is a pay and reclaim option which allows customers to use their preferred recovery provider, where authorised.
