Managing general agent NBS Underwriting has agreed a partnership with AmTrust Specialty Ltd that enables it to offer an additional £5m excess layer on top of its existing £5m primary capacity payer, which is supported by Hadron or Accelerant. NBS Underwriting says the deal enables brokers to place higher limits in a simplified structure.
NBS Underwriting says the new excess facility provides brokers with a combined primary and excess layer PI programme from a single provider and with a single underwriting contract for the full placement. It says it will reduce the need for referrals and make the placement journey faster and more convenient for brokers seeking higher limits.
Teresa Yardley, head of professional indemnity at NBS Underwriting, said: “By placing both layers with NBS, we can offer a more efficient process and greater continuity across the programme, helping brokers secure the cover their clients require with less complexity.”
NBS Underwriting offers products through brokers for risks in sectors including SME, commercial, property, PI and non-standard household insurance.
