Add-on specialist Alps has reported a 13% rise in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation for the 12 months to March and says it is on track to achieve gross written premium of £13m by 2028.
The managing general agent has enhanced or launched 12 add-on policies during the year, including rent guarantee and landlord pet insurance in response to the recently introduced Renters’ Rights Act.
Alps suggests that broker retention is now at 90% and that almost two-thirds (63%) of its brokers are selling more add-ons than in the previous year.
Michelle O’Reilly, managing director at Alps, said: “We’ve set ourselves apart from the competition by delivering a programme of rapid and innovative product development, backed by strong capacity relationships and a level of service unrivalled in the market.”
She added: “The growth we’re targeting isn’t just about numbers; it’s about building a proposition that makes a genuine difference when it matters to brokers and the policyholders they serve.”
