Pets Insurance, which is part of the Pets at Home group, has launched on comparison website Compare the Market and says the new product will subsequently be available via the Pets at Home website and app in September.

The product offers three tiers of lifetime cover: core, plus and max that provide increasing annual vet fee limits. All tiers offer cover for accidents, illnesses and dental treatment as standard. Pets at Home will handle claims directly with vet practices via an online portal.

Matt Poll, managing director of Pets Insurance, said: “By removing features that can create confusion, such as per-condition limits and multiple excess charges and simplifying the claims process, we're helping owners focus on their pets rather than paperwork.”
