Allianz revamps wholesale and retail proposition

Allianz UK has refreshed its proposition for wholesale and retail businesses, which covers those with a turnover between £10m and £1.5bn. The carrier says the move comes on the back of market research that suggest two thirds (68%) of business leaders feel their organisation is vulnerable to supply chain disruption.

The changes include a 25% seasonal increase with the ability to select any 3-month period, exhibition cover of up to £50,000 in the UK and £25,000 in the EU, goods in transit up to £5,000 per vehicle (UK) and unnamed customers and suppliers cover of £250,000 (UK and EU) and £100,000 (rest of world).

Rob Carslake, head of London mid-market at Allianz UK said: “Wholesale and retail businesses are continuing to grow and their operations are becoming more complex, from wider supplier networks to international trading relationships and increasing supply chain dependencies.

“The enhancements we’ve introduced reflect those realities, with increased standard product limits designed to provide a stronger foundation for brokers to discuss the individual needs of each business. Combined with our technical underwriting expertise and risk management support, we want to help customers build resilience, manage emerging risks and pursue growth with greater confidence.”

The product changes are part of a broader push to enhance Allianz UK’s mid-market proposition and it says further updates later in the year will put a greater focus on individual industries and technical expertise.
