The Chartered Insurance Institute wants to give industry practitioners a stronger role in shaping policy, professional standards and membership services. To do this, it has launched an online research community called Voices, open to CII members and non-members, from which it will gather industry views.
Data will be gathered from participants through a range of surveys, pulse polls, moderated discussions, topic deep-dives, focus groups and interviews. The professional body says the information generated by the community will support the CII Group’s development of standards, learning materials, products and member services.
Taking part in these activities will be voluntary and participants can chose those they feel are most relevant to them. In return, they will get access to findings ahead of publication as well as a quarterly digest detailing what the community is saying.
Matthew Hill, chief executive of the CII, said: “Voices gives insurance and personal finance professionals a place to share their experience with the wider profession and inform our research, advocacy and engagement with decision-makers.
“By bringing the perspectives of hundreds of practitioners together, we can better represent the profession on the issues that matter most to the sector.”
