Chartered insurer broker Konsileo, which was founded in 2017, has raised £5m through an equity investment led by existing shareholders Committed Capital and ACF Investors. The businesses places policies with a combined annual premium of £85m.
Konsileo employs more than 220 people and operates a flat management structure that seeks to minimise the administrative burden on brokers, promote ongoing professional develop and enable them to maximise their ability to develop client relationships. It has developed its own administrative platform and runs its own inhouse training academy.
John Warburton, co-founder and CEO of Konsileo, said: “We’ve always believed that great brokers do their best work when you give them autonomy, equip them properly and support them rather than manage them. Our growth is a testament to what happens when you offer something genuinely different to ambitious brokers who want to build brilliant client relationships.
