Axa Group has reported gross revenues of £26.7bn for Q1 2022, up on the £26.2bn achieved in the same period last year. Axa UK and Ireland reported gross revenues of £1.2bn in Q1 this year, up from £1.1bn last year. In the UK and Ireland, revenue from personal lines fell 5% to £382m, while commercial revenue for the quarter increased by 6% to £352m.
Alban de Mailly Nesle, chief financial officer of Axa, said: “Axa is well positioned against the current uncertain macroeconomic backdrop, with a strong balance sheet including a Solvency II ratio at 224%.”
He added: “We remain confident in our ability to execute our strategy, focusing on our core attractive segments, in particular health, protection and P&C insurance where the need for insurance coverage remains strong.”
