Mervyn Skeet, has been named as interim director of general insurance policies at the Association of British Insurers by James Dalton, who has stepped down after 15 years with the professional association.

In a tweet, Dalton (pictured) said: “I'm leaving my role in the very competent hands of @Mervyn_Skeet who takes over as Interim Director, General Insurance Policy. Mervyn has been Head of Taxation at @BritishInsurers [ABI] so will be a familiar figure to many in the industry & I wish him all the very best.”

Skeet tweeted: “I'm delighted to be starting as Interim Director, General Insurance Policy at @BritishInsurers. I'm taking over from @InsuranceJamesD who's done a fantastic job over the years & I thank him for his support as he hands over the role. I'm looking forward to the new challenge ahead.”
