LV= has launched a motor insurance voice skill app designed for customers using Amazon Alexa or Google Home Assistant products. The technology enables customers to enquire about their cover using their smart speakers.
The app will be able to answer 500 policy-based questions, collated from commonly asked questions on live chat and conversations with the call centre. Customers will only need to ask their home assistants to “open LV”.
The insurer hopes the app will assist in decreasing the high volume of policy-related enquiries, as call centre staff receive some 28,000 questions on policy documents each month.
LV= GI sales and marketing director, Jon Mansley said: “With the launch of this new voice skill, customers can now find out details of their policy in a matter of seconds, simply by asking their smart device.”
LV= will receive constant updates to help improving answers and that it will update the technology when required.
