Applied Systems has entered into a distribution agreement with Zurich’s motor division.

Head of personal lines at Zurich, Phil Ost said he hoped that the partnership would bring increased sophistication in its rating and deliver more competitive quotes to broker partners.

Senior vice-president of international operations at Applied Systems, Jeff Purdy said: “As the personal lines market becomes more commoditised via aggregators, it is crucial for insurers to easily connect with brokers and provide the most up-to-date and competitive quotes possible.

“Through this partnership, Zurich will be able to update their rates in real time, providing brokers with accurate and competitive rates to deliver business growth for all stakeholders across the insurance lifecycle,” he added.

Applied Systems added First Underwriting to its personal lines panel earlier this month.

Headquartered in University Park, Illinois, the company has an office in Brighton.
