Brokers face challenges in commercial motor sector – survey

Brokers face significant challenges in their experience across insurers, insurtechs, and MGAs serving the commercial motor insurance sector, according to the latest broker survey from Direct Commercial.

Only 26% of brokers rated their overall experience across the whole market with providers as good, while 33% described it as poor. A key area for improvement includes flexibility of cover, highlighted by 62% of respondents as priorities.

The survey also found that 61% of brokers feel they should have greater influence in shaping the future of commercial motor insurance, while 11% believe brokers should play a major role in driving new product development.
