Quadrassist, which is the building repair network for specialist loss adjuster Woodgate & Clark, has launched a desktop adjuster service to handle claims of up to £10,000 for insurance providers. Plans are in place to increase this limit.

Martin Cormes, director of Quadrassist said: “Desktop adjusting is not a new idea but it has been very difficult for insurers or their loss adjuster partners to offer because it needs building expertise first and foremost. We have solved that challenge. Each of our surveyors comes from a background in building so that an accurate schedule of works and costs can be created using the system.

“We know insurers are looking at ways to cut their carbon emissions by making greater use of technology. This is a great example of how we have innovated to help insurers meet their carbon reduction targets while improving the speed and efficiency of claims.”
