AA Underwriting Ltd has extended its partnership with data specialist Percayso Inform to enhance its capabilities across its private motor business. The move will allow AA Underwriting to access vehicle specific data to inform pricing and underwriting decisions. It builds on last year’s move to implement Percayso’s claims tool for motor.

Paul Wilyman, head of underwriting at AA Underwriting Ltd, said: “Our claims team have seen a number of benefits from their experience of using Percayso’s Companion vehicle intelligence tool over the past year. It has given them the information they need to settle claims faster and with more accuracy, which delivers a better experience for our customers.”

He added: “This experience encouraged us to explore how we could further enhance our data capabilities at point of quote to better inform our underwriting decisions in order to continue to deliver sustainable, profitable business and fair pricing to our customers.”
