Devonshire bolsters fledgling contingent risk division

Managing general agent Devonshire Underwriting has appointed Robin Muir (pictured) as head of contingent risks with immediate effect. He joins from law firm Jones Day, where he trained as a solicitor. Devonshire said his arrival would give its contingent risk offering a greater focus on corporate restructuring activity.

James Dodd, partner at Devonshire Underwriting, said: “Our contingent risk insurance product has seen an excellent start in its first nine months, with five significant deals already underwritten. Robin’s extensive experience in restructuring positions us perfectly to adapt to the rapidly evolving landscape of contingent risk insurance.”
