AutoProtect Group has renewed its partnership with Group 1 Automotive UK. Under the expanded deal it will provide GAP, SMART, tyre and alloy wheel coverage through all of Group 1 Automotive’s 115 UK dealerships.
AutoProtect said it had developed a training programme to ensure customers choose products they understand and that sales meet the obligations enshrined in the Consumer Duty regulatory framework.
Mark Needham, head of finance and insurance at Group 1 Automotive, said: “We need to ensure our added-value proposition grows and that it does so in a compliant, high-integrity manner. We’re pleased to continue our partnership with AutoProtect to help us deliver our targets sustainably.”
Mike Edwards(pictured) , chief revenue officer at AutoProtect, added: “Great partnerships are centred on trust and a shared commitment to symbiotic growth. The last year has seen an unprecedented level of challenge for F&I [finance and insurance] but we’ve been ready and able to address change.”
The ongoing partnership between the two company dates back to 2015.
