JMG Group has acquired SafeSchool, which is a health and safety consultancy with a focus on the education sector. Under the deal, SafeSchool becomes part of Risk Support Services, which is the risk management and consultancy division of Butterworth Spengler, a JMG Group company.

Jeanne Fairbrother and Neil Thomas founded SafeSchool in 2019. It now supports more than 200 educational establishments across the North West, Birmingham and Bristol.

Fairbrother said: “Demand for specialist support in education continues to grow and we had reached the point where investment, added capacity and the backing of a larger organisation was required to support this demand.”
