Assured Partners has acquired Somerset-based Atom Insurance Brokers, which was founded in 2002 and specialises in commercial SME insurance. Atom will become part of AssuredPartners-owned PSP Insurance brokers.

Clive Thorne, managing director of Atom Insurance Brokers said: “I am delighted to have joined AssuredPartners and PSP Group. Their culture and values stood out from our early conversations when we were deciding on a new home for Atom. It was important for us to find a group who were focused on investing in the South West of England which would allow us to continue our development and to support our growing client base across the region.”
