Ecclesiastical Insurance has announced that Dave Carey will become the managing director of its intermediary business in February 2025. He joins from Allianz, where he has been managing director of mid corporate UK, for the past 18 months. He replaces Adrian Saunders, who retired earlier this year.

Richard Coleman, managing director of Ecclesiastical Insurance, said: “I am delighted we have appointed Dave as our new MD of Intermediary, he brings a great track record and wide-ranging experience to this role which is crucial in helping us to achieve our growth targets.”

Carey added: “The opportunity to work with Richard and the team to help deliver on its ambitious growth targets instantly appealed. When combined with Ecclesiastical’s raison d’etre to give profits to good causes the opportunity was compelling.”
