IFB agrees to broaden membership

The Insurance Fraud Bureau has voted at its annual general meeting to approve new articles of association that will enable a wider scope of members to join the organisation. It said creating a wider platform of members would enable it to share its products, services and data sharing capabilities with a greater number of firms and increase its ability to identify fraud.

Karl Helgessen, chair of the IFB Board, said: “We are excited that members have voted to approve the new Articles of Association today and look forward to progressing what we believe will make a real difference for both existing IFB members and our new ones to come.”

Ursula Jallow, director of the IFB, added: “A key pillar of the IFB’s three-year strategy, Forward Together, is aimed at better serving our members and preparing for the future. The outcome at the AGM today is the result of 18 months of engagement with our members so I’d like to personally thank them for their support.”
