Balgrove Underwriting Agency has announced that is been able to resume selling motor fleet policies after it renewed its underwriting facility with Accredited Insurance (Europe) Ltd. In March, Balgrove had said it was in negotiations with another insurer.

Andrew Wallace managing director at Balgrove said: “In my letter of 20th March, I indicated that we were in negotiations with another insurer who would replace Accredited. Whilst this always remained an option, we were able to reach an agreement with Accredited and our reinsurers which meant that we could continue their contract.

“I am most grateful to Accredited and our reinsurers for their continued support. I would also like to thank the many brokers who have stood by us in this difficult time. Their support is much appreciated, and we look forward to continuing to develop business with them.”
