Specialty re/insurer Chaucer has appointed Hayley Spink (pictured) as group chief operating officer. She will join Chaucer in Q4 and will replace David Bendle who is retiring at the end of the year. She is currently chief operating officer at Apollo Syndicate 1969.

Richard Milner, group chief executive officer at Chaucer, said: “Her strong operational background, and considerable experience will be key in ensuring we maintain a fully optimised operating model across every aspect of the group.”

The appointment is subject to regulatory approval.
