Toyota is offering retail customers who buy a new car between 1st November and 31st January insurance cover with a fixed premium for three years. Available from Toyota Insurance Services, the deal means a new Aygo X can be insured for £300 a year while cover for other models, such as the Yaris hatchback and Yaris Cross hybrids will carry a premium of £450. The most expensive premium of £1,080 is for the RAV4 plug-in hybrid.
Toyota said the fixed-price cover would be available on nine models including self-charging hybrid, plug-in hybrid and battery electric vehicles.
The offer is restricted to customers who are aged between 27 and 76, who hold a full UK driving license and who have had UK residency for at least one year. Those with convictions or pending prosecutions over the past five years or who have had a no-fault insurance claim during the past three years are also ineligible for the cover.
