Alps has launched a motor breakdown policy for commercial heavy goods vehicles of over 7.5 tonnes. The managing general agent’s new product offers national coverage for drivers and their vehicles and provides roadside and depot assistance following an unexpected breakdown.

Alps has partnered with roadside recovery specialist Call Assist Ltd to deliver the new product, which is underwritten by Collinson Insurance. The policy has two cover options – local cover and base assist or UK nationwide and base assist.

In addition to roadside and base assistance of up to 180 minutes, the product offers recovery to a location within 20 miles, alternative transport or car hire expenses and accommodation expenses.
