Gallagher has appointed Ross Mackay as head of its Glasgow office.

Mackay joins from Aon, where he held a number of senior leadership roles over a 30-year career, most recently as head of office for its Glasgow operations. He previously worked as an underwriter at Sun Alliance, now Intact.

In his new role, Mackay will lead a team of around 50 risk professionals, and will be responsible for supporting existing clients and developing new business opportunities. He will report to Mark Kerry, regional managing director for Scotland and Northern Ireland.

The appointment is subject to regulatory approval.
