Brown & Brown (Europe) Ltd has named Carolyn Callan as chief executive officer of its UK retail sector. She joined the business last year as managing director. In addition, Stuart Grieb will take up the newly created role of chief commercial officer for the UK retail business.

Mike Bruce, chief executive officer of Brown & Brown (Europe) Ltd, said: “Since joining us last November, Carolyn has made a strong impact and is clearly the right person to lead us through our next phase of growth.”

He added: “Stuart has a real focus on detail, good execution of profit drivers and a tight grip on the financials.”
