Alps adds landlord pet damage policy to product portfolio

Add-on insurance and claims solutions provider, Alps has added a new landlord pet damage policy to its suite of products. The move is in response to the Renters’ Rights Bill, which will give tenants increased rights to keep pets at rental properties. It is due to receive royal assent in the coming months. The product – Not for Lions – was developed by Addept Insurance with capacity from The Salvation Army General Insurance Corporation.

Michelle O’Reilly, managing director at Alps, said: “This is a fantastic addition to our broad range of add-on policies. We’re delighted to be working with Addept Insurance to bring this responsive cover to market at a time when landlords are facing increasing uncertainty.”

Richard Finan, managing director at Addept Insurance, added: “Alps shares our commitment to providing innovative add-on solutions that exceed customer expectations both in terms of value and service. We are delighted to partner with them, ahead of the implementation of the new Renters’ Rights Bill.”
