Asda Money has launched a mobile and gadget insurance proposition which it has delivered in collaboration with insurance intermediary, Taurus Insurance Services. The product offers three tiers of cover. The entry-level policy provides accidental damage cover with theft, and loss and mechanical breakdown cover available with the second and third tier options. The insurance is for mobile phones and gadgets such as tablets, smartwatches and laptops.

Jenny Maden, head of insurance at Asda Money, said: “This new offering perfectly complements Asda’s sizeable and growing mobile phone business ‘Asda Mobile’, and marks further progress in expanding our existing suite of financial services products to support hardworking families.”

James Cottrell, managing director of Taurus Insurance Services, added: “Together we’re delivering simple, high-quality cover to give Asda customers affordable and reliable protection for the devices they rely on every day.”

The new product complements Asda Money’s existing insurance proposition which includes cover for travel, breakdown, motorbikes, cars, motorhomes, pets and businesses.
