Insurance centred investment firm Sodalis Capital has launched London-based wholesale broker Brecon Specialty Ltd. The 14-strong team will be led by former Howden Broking managing director David Rees and will focus on cyber and technology E&O business.

Brecon has partnered Pro Insurance Solutions Limited on its operational infrastructure and will use its insurance platform. Sodalis Capital was launched in 2025 by Colin Thompson. It is backed by Alliant Insurance Services and BP Marsh & Partners plc.

Rees said: “Brecon was established to offer a focused independent broker in the London market. Our broker partners and clients will benefit from best-in-class service and access to considerable capacity, delivered by a team of cyber specialists that are at the top of their game.”
