The International Underwriting Association has launched an online hub to support its IUA Futures programme and ensure recent entrants into the market have convenient access to all the networking, training and development events scheduled by the association.

Ela Metalia, underwriting and claims executive and IUA Futures Lead at the IUA, will run the new programme.

“There has been much recent attention on the London Market’s need to boost its recruitment of new talent, but it is just as important to ensure those people entering the market are trained and developed effectively. This is what the IUA Futures programme seeks to achieve. We are looking to furnish people with the essential skills and professional networks they need to establish successful careers," she said. “Our programme connects next-gen practitioners with senior industry figures, who can share practical knowledge and expertise."

Events already timetabled for this year include breakfast briefings on market processes and structures, masterclasses on policy wordings, and networking events related to specific classes of business.
